Introduction

The Basic Health and Safety Certificate has been designed as a first level course incorporating fundamental occupational health and safety knowledge for all employees that wil enable them to contribute to any health and safety management system.

Health and safety law
Prevention of accidents and ill health
First aid at work
Personal protective equipment
Workplace health, safety and welfare
Work equipment
Electricity
Fire prevention
Occupational health
Hazardous substances
Ergonomics and workplace design
Manual handling
Noise
There is a 30 item multiple choice question paper at the end of the course. On successful completion, a CIEH Certificate will be awarded to delegates.
