Introduction
The course is a stand-alone level 1 qualification, which complements the CIEH Foundation Health and Safety Certificate.
It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces students to the hazards, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. However, the course may be tailored to suit the particular requirements of an employer.

There is a 20 question multiple choice assessment paper at the end of the course. On successful completion, delegates will be awarded a CIEH Certificate in the Principles of Manual Handling.
